Care Ministries

As the church, we have the responsibility to care for and respond to the needs of the people in our church as well as to those in our community.  Berean looks to its people to minister to the needs of those they know and befriend.  This attitude fits the mentality that we are the living church.  By God’s design, the church reaches out to others in love.   Some needs and struggles in life are very specific.  We have ministries that support and come alongside those during these hard seasons of life.  To learn more about what we offer, please follow the links below.

           Pastoral Appointments 

Please contact the ministry staff person with whom you would like to consult, or you may contact the Church Office at 952.432.7168. If assistance is needed beyond the scope of pastoral counseling, referrals are provided to professional Christian counselors.

 

 

  • Marriage Mentors

    At Berean, we equip Marriage Mentors to be key players in preventing marital problems by coaching couples with the skills and tools for more successful relationships. Our Marriage Mentors help both engaged couples and those who are married to talk about the hopes, dreams, and expectations they have for their marriage. They concentrate on the couple’s strengths and what’s good in their relationship.

    Marriage mentors are not counselors. Our mentors are trained to know when and how to refer a couple to a licensed, professional counselor, if needed.

  • Cancer Support Group

    This group is for those whose lives have been touched by cancer.  Meet with others with similar experiences to find support and understanding.

Learn ways to communicate your personal characteristics, roles, and accomplishments in your networking, interviewing, resume, or online portfolio.

Resume Building and Critique

Come learn how to build content and develop a resume that meets yours and an employer's needs. Topics include: Building the right content for your resume, resume types, resume do's and don'ts, plus resources for resume development. You will get a chance to have your resume objectively critiqued.

Making A Connection: Targeted Networking to Reach Your Goal

Come learn ways to make a first and lasting impression when connecting with others through networking, interviewing, and more. Topics include: First impressions, how to network, tools for networking, offline places to network, online social networking, and more.
