Approximately 1 in 5 adults in the US – 43.8 million or 18.5% -- experience mental illness in a given year. It greatly impacts not only patients, but family and friends as well. We often feel compelled to help in some way, but are unsure how. When someone close to us is ill, it often wreaks havoc on in our own lives and brings additional stress and conflict to daily living.
What should the Christian response be to mental illness in our FaithFamily? How should Berean care for those whose lives are affected by mental health? The goal of this informational meeting is to gain an understanding of the best ways to support those affected by mental health issues.
