A Missional Community (MC for short) is a family of servant missionaries sent on mission by God as disciples who make disciples.
What is a Missional Community?
An MC is much more than a weekly event. MCs gather together at different times throughout the month to fulfill Jesus' mission of being disciples who make disciples. Together we learn how to worship and submit to Jesus in all of life by learning how to love one another as family, worship Jesus as servants who serve others, and share the good news of Jesus Christ as his sent missionaries.
Every MC identifies a group of people whom they believe God is sending them to love, serve, and share Jesus with. It could be a NEIGHBORHOOD or NETWORK of relationships. Some choose to love and serve local schools, while others will identify people they already are in regular relationship with. We want to see every aspect of the south metro of the Twin Cities blessed by God's people.
MCs are meeting all over the South Metro, maybe even in your neighborhood, and new ones are forming all the time. This map shows where active MCs are and where we are hoping to launch new groups soon.
Missional Communities can also form around networks of relationships that aren't defined by where you live. Right now we have three network MCs:
a community for people in their 20s
Caring for the Unseen MC
a community for people passionate about serving those impacted by domestic violence, human trafficking, and religious persecution
a community for airline professionals and their families
Other networks we are exploring for new MCs:
Health Care Industry
Small Business Owners
