NEXT Initiative:  Praise God for all of the gifts and volunteers that helped complete the first phase of our remodel project.  There is still a need for volunteers of all skill levels, but especially woodworking and veneering.  Please also pray about how God would have you contribute financially to NEXT.  Learn more and give today! 

FaithFamily Celebration:  Sunday, May 17, 6 p.m., Worship Center
Simply come and celebrate what God is doing in our church family through baptisms, child dedications, ministry highlights, and congregational updates! We encourage you to set aside the evening and join us for this free event.

Save the Date: Vacation Bible School:  July 27-31, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Mark your calendars for Berean’s Vacation Bible School and Summer Jam for children and students. 

Teens

Graduation Banquet:  Friday, May 15, 6 p.m., Room 114
Graduating Seniors, their families, and friends gather to celebrate this important milestone in a young adult’s life.  Students have an opportunity to share their talents and achievements with one another, and their parents and leaders have an opportunity to pray for their futures.   Junior and Senior High leaders are welcome to join the fun. Student Ministries Year End:  Our last night of regular Wednesday night programs will be on May 13 and our final regular Sunday morning will be on May 17.  Celebrate the year end on Wednesday, May 20 with Junior High messy kickball and Senior High Epic Oscars (viewing and judging films submitted by students).  Register by contacting Carol Bolin.

Berean Care Step Up Workshop - Anger:  Sunday, May 31, 6 p.m., Room 114
“Manage It Before It Manages You.”  Anger is a God given emotion everyone experiences, but the expression of anger can be either healthy or harmful.  If you or someone you know is dealing with anger, this workshop will help you recognize and control anger so it remains a healthy and God honoring expression of emotion.    > Berean Care Step Up Registration 

Stephen Ministry:  Berean currently has 30 active Stephen Ministers participating in ongoing caregiving training and meeting with people confidentially.  When you are going through a difficult time, we assign a Stephen Minister of your same gender to listen, help you talk things out, and be there for you when it might seem like no one else is.  For more information, contact Kari Peterson.

Women’s Night Out:  Sunday, May 3, 6-8 p.m., Room 114
Our final Women’s Night Out of the season will be a celebration of the value and significance that each and every woman has in God’s Kingdom. Come celebrate with us, laugh, have fun with friends, and meet new friends.  We’ll have great desserts, fun thank you gifts, and some fun surprises. This event is free, but an RSVP is appreciated.

Outreach

Kid’s Closet Donation Days:  May 30 & 31, during services
We are collecting again for Kid’s Closet but will now offer donation days the last weekend of each month during weekend services.  Deliver your items to the trailer outside Door 2.  Volunteers needed to help deliver to storage.  Email us today to volunteer.
 
National Day of Prayer Drive-Thru:  Thursday, May 7, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Berean is one of several local churches participating in this National Day of Prayer event.  People have the opportunity to drive into the church parking lot where volunteers will provide prayer.  Volunteers needed for shifts!      > Prayer Drive-Thru Volunteer Registration

Summer Loaves Info Meeting:   Monday, May 18, 7 p.m., Berean Cafe
Berean will be a Summer Loaves program site this summer.  Volunteers are needed to help with our community meal, food distribution, and fun activities.  Come learn more about these awesome local outreach opportunities!  

Berean Education Center (BEC)
