VBS Theme: Breaker Rock Beach!
Be a part of VBS 2024, “Breaker Rock Beach – God’s Rock-Solid Truth in a World of Shifting Sands”! This summer kids will learn that God’s truth never changes!
Details
- Ages: VBS is for kids Grade K - 5 (completed 2023/2024 school year)
- Dates/Times: June 24 - 27 (Monday - Thursday) | 6:00 - 8:30 PM (doors open at 5:45!) Save the Date or the VBS Family Night on Saturday, June 29 at 6:30 PM.
- What: Kids will experience Bible teaching, small group discussions, gym time, activities, and/or crafts, and finish the night with all VBS attendees in Worship Rally! This is a high-energy, lots-of-moving, exciting week!
- Cost: Free!
Nightly Schedule
5:45 PM: Doors open! Check-in your kids and bring them to their classrooms.
6:00 PM: VBS begins! Classroom Time
6:20 – 7:00 PM: Teaching Time
7:00 – 800 PM: Gym/Activities/Small Group
8:00 – 8:30 PM: Worship Rally (gathering for music, missions, and fun!)
8:30 PM: Pick up your kids from their classrooms.

Monday, June 24: Truth Comes from God
*Scripture: Satan Tricked Adam and Eve (Genesis 2 - 3).
*What Kids Will Learn: Some people say, “Truth can be different for different people.” But God says, “Truth comes from Me.”
Tuesday, June 25: God's Plan is Best
*Scripture: Daniel Chose God’s Way (Daniel 1).
*What Kids Will Learn: Some people say, “Do what makes you happy.” But God says, “My plan for you is even better.”
Wednesday, June 26: Everyone Needs Jesus
*Scripture: The Rich Young Ruler (Mark 10:17-27)
*What Kids Will Learn: Some people say, “Being a good person gets you into heaven.” But God says, “Everyone sins and needs a Savior.”
Thursday, June 27: Speak Truth in Love
*Scripture: Paul Encouraged the Ephesians (Acts 9:1-6; 19:1-10; 21-31; Ephesians 3:14-4:16)
*What Kids Will Learn: Some people say, “If you don’t agree with me, you don’t love me.” But God says, “Speak the truth in love.”
VBS FAQ's
What will my kids do all night? See the above schedule. Kids are placed in small groups with one to two volunteer leaders. Small groups spend the night together.
Can my child be with their friend? We will do our best to honor friend requests, however, kids are grouped by grade. Please let us know if you have a special circumstance.
Do you serve snacks during VBS? Due to food allergies, we do not provide a snack. Opportunities to drink water throughout the night are provided.
If my child can’t attend each night of VBS, can they still attend? Absolutely! Simply include this information on your registration.
Can I drop off my child late or pick them up early? We strongly encourage kids to be a part of the entire night, from start to finish. If there is a special circumstance, please reach out to discuss it.
Do kids go outside? Kids in K-3 will not go outside. Kids in Grade 4-5 will spend part of the night outside, weather permitting.

Are your volunteers background checked? Yes. In addition, many of our volunteers serve in Berean Kids throughout the year. Many of our volunteer positions for VBS also require church membership. All of Berean staff as well as many volunteers are CPR and First-Aid Certified. There is also a trained nurse on site.
Will the building be secured during the VBS program? Yes. There will be safety-trained personnel on site. Anyone not a part of the VBS program will need to vacate the building during VBS .
