Age 4-Grade 3
Berean Kids Wednesday Nights
>> Starting Wednesday, September 11, 6:30-8 p.m.
Team KID happens on Wednesday nights during the months of September through May.
Kids in Preschool (Age 4-5) and Elementary (Grade K-3) are invited to this fun, high-energy ministry that encourages kids to KNOW Jesus Christ and to GROW in a relationship with Him.
KID stands for Kids in Discipleship! All parts of Team KID—Bible stories, Scripture memory, mission activities, life application, and recreation games—connect to apply Biblical truths to real life.
Team KID is designed to partner with parents as they teach their kids to become disciples of Jesus Christ who strive to establish a firmly rooted, authentic faith. It connects directly to the Faith in Practice milestone of the Berean Family Discipleship Plan.
Every week, Preschool and Elementary kids will be learning the same memory verse and Bible story. Parents will enjoy this alignment as it will enable them to discuss the same truths with all of their kids age 4 to grade 3.
- Warm Up: introductory small group discussion and activities
- Workout: large group Bible story
- Stretching: small group application of the Bible lesson
- Reach Out: large group mission video and discussion
- Tournament: recreation activities with connection to the lesson
- Cool Down: closing small group discussion and activities
Scope and Structure
Every week we will answer a question that fits into these units:
- The Beginning: Who is God?
- The Call: The people called by God
- The Truth: What is the Bible?
- The Way: Who is Jesus?
- The Life: Living it out
- The Mission: What are we to tell others?
- Who is Team KID for?
Preschool Team KID is for kids age 4 (by September 11, 2019) through grade 3.
- What about Grades 4-5?
Grades 4-5 will continue to be part of our Berean Kids Preteen program on Wednesday nights.
- When does Team KID meet?
Team KID meets Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:30-8:00. Fall 2019 kickoff - September 11th.
- How much does Team KID cost?
Participating in Team KID is absolutely free!
- Do I need to sign-up my child?
Please pre-register to join every fall so we can plan for the correct number of kids. If you are joining us after the fall kickoff, no registration is necessary. Just show up.
Volunteers fill out a registration form prior to the start of Team KID.
- Can kids invite friends?
Absolutely! Team KID is open all year for anyone to attend. Kids who are new to Berean will register the night they arrive at our Check-In Station in order to acquire security tags.
- What happens at Team KID on a typical night?
See the “Sample Schedule” section on this page.
- Will dinner still be available on Wednesday nights?
- What about Awana?
Team KID will replace Awana on Wednesday nights. We love Awana! We always have and always will. At this time in Berean’s journey, God is calling us to Team KID which will be a great fit in our strategic plan to disciple and reach kids for the Gospel.
Come for Dinner
Berean Cafe serves dinner from 5-6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays nights for nominal fees. Choose from inexpensive options including sandwiches, salad, pizza, cookies, etc. You may also choose the weekly entree option that rotates between Sloppy Joe's, spaghetti, and more.
Berean Kids uses a numbered name tag system to ensure that only a parent or guardian may pick up a child. As you sign in, please place a numbered name tag on your child, and keep the name tag with the corresponding number as your "claim check."
Well Child Policy
In order to ensure the health of other children and workers, please refrain from bringing your child if he/she has had any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours: diarrhea, vomiting, 100+ degree fever, rash, non-clear runny nose, or has been on antibiotics for less than 24 hours.
Photography and Videography
Berean periodically takes video or photographs of "life at Berean" including kids programming, worship areas, hallways and commons areas. Berean may publish videos or photographs in which your child(ren) may appear with or without their name for lawful purposes such as publicity, illustration, advertising, social media, and website content. If you have concerns and do not wish to have your child(ren) included in photos or videos, please contact Berean's Communications Department.
Serving in Berean Kids is awesome opportunity to pour into the next generation through large group teaching; Bible memorization; small groups and game/gym time. You’ll make friends with others serving alongside of you and have lots of fun!
